'Tweren't all that long ago, hear, that my pappy done told me this here tale what I'm 'bout to hand over to ya. 'Tweren't all pert near fi'ty year ago that right here, on this very spot, right smack here in the center of these woods that the beast man they call "The Howler" was first spotted. My pappy done told me that he and his friends were out a doin' just what it is y'all are doin' right now: campin' out under the stars and the bright moon light in front of a cracklin' fire when from out of the darkness of the woods... why not but a few yards yonder, they heard the most spine chillin', curdlin' yelp echo any of 'em had ever heard before. It started out low, like a moan or a sigh (HOWWWWWW....) then, it grew up louder and more urgent like a scream for help from somethin' in a world of pain (YEEEEEEELLLLLLL). My pappy swears he watched the hairs on his buddy's head go from jet-black to ghostly white in a split! 'Twere only four of them boys out here, including my pappy, an each froze on the spot as the keenin' howl carried on for two or three minutes. It was such a frightenin' sound that my pappy, as brave and cocksure as he was, wet his dungarees just as quick as you please. Well, finally, the sound stopped, and each of them boys could finally draw the breath they'd a been holdin' in since the call'd begun. But what followed was somethin' far worse than you could all possibly imagine. A sudden crash of twigs and brush made its way to my pappy and his friends. Each sat stiffer'n a silo and stared to where the noise was comin' from right at 'em! Then, like the sound of thunder cracklin' from the heavens came the most hiddeous, mis-shapen, God awful beast any one of them lads had ever seen: hiary from nape to nuts, smellin' of fresh kill, and a jagged-toothed grin drippin' with the blood of its last victim! The boys, along with my petrified Pappy jumped to their feet and bolted from that... well, THIS, spot double quick never lookin' back till they got to M-89 out there. Well, those kids, let me tell you, were reluctant as anything to go off spoutin' about what they'd seen for many years. But, as all the folks who's heard it were wont to say, "'Tweren't nothin' but a ugly old bear". Well, you and I know aint been no bear round here for hunnert years. So, what was it? Well, no one rightly knows. But, it's said that a few more folks have heard the call of 'The Howler' now and again. Well, g'night boys...

COLUMBINE MY ASS!
Johnny checked his weapons for a third time. His pistol was loaded. The shotgun would fit under his trench coat. He had hated moving to this podunk town with its jocks and cheerleaders. His mother disgusted him and he knew that this was the only way to release his rage.
He would show them how serious he was. And make them all pay. If it cost him his life he would not care in the slightest.
Soon he would be infamous.
The short walk to school invigorated him. With each step he saw his weapons tear into the student body and it made him smile.
We walked into the main hall as the school flooded with students and decided to pull out his shotgun to get everyone's attention. Before he could fire the weapon a bullet tore through his shoulder. Stunned he saw that at least fifty students were brandishing weapons as well as a few of the teachers and they were all aimed at him!
In seconds his body was riddled with lead sending him to the ground.
The last thing he saw was the face of the captain of the football team through a haze of red.
"Thought you'd come in here and be a whiny emo punk and start shooting up the place didn't you? Well, we don't take to kindly to that crap. Best defense is a good offense, right punk?"
The last sentence was punctuated by a bullet from the principal's .38 into Johnny's brain.
